The White Mages just Heal and Revive your death characters. So his HP Pool will gets lower over the time, until he dies. The damage you do with his counter is more as he heal sometimes with some attacks. So he basically kills himself over the time. Because you Nullify all Water Damage the counter will always do 0 damage to you, but he gets selfdamage about 6,9k every counter. You can not Poison him, but there is a ~50%chance he will counter with Smaragd Blades. The 2 Black Mages only use Poison against him.
All Character need to be Freelancer like the threadmaker said because of the 50% chance to survive a onehit. Equip every one with 2x the Accessoires which give Water Resistance. It's also incredible that this game has made an ending specifically for that too & acknowledged the fact that the player took the effort to play the game differently and the impact it actually has on the game this isn't something you see everyday in a genre often overly obsessed with linear gameplay and would do things like, force you to lose the battle anyway or make up some sort of, wackass excuse about the character not actually being defeated and just somehow shaking it off - just another reason why this JRPG is honestly incredible in my opinion from the bit that i playedīut thank you u/LexisShaia for taking the time to explore this, really satisfied my curiosity ive had ever since i first ran into the fight playing on launch day! Poggers! i was thinking about asking this sub a couple days ago on whether its possible to do that & if anyone tried it yet, but thought its too early for anyone to know - and one day later the absolute madlad of an OP managed to do just that (with your only save too? mad respects) (I think the save game artwork changed too?) I didn't think the game would actually let me win.Ī lot of grinding for 56xp.
